From Paper to Practice: From Ambition to Corporate Climate Action

The climate emergency demands coordinated and ambitious action, especially from the business sector. This event proposes an immersion in concrete strategies and solutions to accelerate the decarbonization of the economy, with a special focus on companies' journey toward Net Zero and the transformation of the transportation sector in Brazil. Bringing together national and international experts, companies, civil society organizations, and government representatives, the meeting aims to be a space for exchange, learning, and mobilization around the implementation of robust climate commitments.

Ricardo Gravina

Position: Co-founder and Co-CEO

Organization: Climate Ventures

Bio: Ricardo Gravina is a prominent figure in the field of impact entrepreneurship and climate innovation. He is currently the co-CEO of Climate Ventures. His experience in business development has earned him recognition as a pioneer in socio-environmental impact as an entrepreneur and investor. Ricardo co-founded Aoka in 2009, a consultancy specializing in Social Innovation and the creation of Shared Value. He led cross-sectoral labs that resulted in several systemic solutions in the areas of Food, Impact Investing, and Climate. In 2018, Ricardo co-founded the Climate Ventures Institute, the leading climate innovation and entrepreneurship organization in Brazil. The institute is an innovation platform connecting over 4,500 stakeholders, including startups, VC funds, public authorities, and large corporations, committed to accelerating the transformation to a regenerative and low-carbon economy.

Jakeline Pereira

Position: Civil, Environmental, & Construction Engineering

Organization: Texas Tech University

Bio: Prof. Ting Lin is the Director of Multi-HAZard SUStainability (HazSus): From Earthquake to Climate Science and Engineering, as well as Faculty Affiliate of the National Wind Institute and Climate Center. Lin is the Founding Co-Chair of the ASCE SEI Advances in Information Technology Committee and Co-Author of Confirmation & Update of SEI Vision for the Future.

She has served on delegations/working groups/committees under COP15/COP30, NEHRP, SCEC, EERI/COSMOS/SSA, NIST, UJNR, & NASEM. Her work has been implemented in hazard mapping, modeling software, and building codes & guidelines. Prof. Lin is a contributing author of the Global Assessment Report (GAR) 2025 and a plenary speaker at the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. She is on a mission to save as many as possible via Global Sea-Level Rise Model (GSLRM). Lin completed her B.S. (Hons.) in Civil Engineering and a concentration in Architecture from Cornell, and M.S. and Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from Stanford.

Elim Sritaba

Position: Chief Sustainability Officer

Organization: APP Group

Bio: Elim Sritaba is the Chief Sustainability Officer at APP Group, a global leader in forestry, pulp, and paper. Since 2013, she has led the implementation of APP’s Forest Conservation Policy (FCP) at Sinar Mas Forestry.

With over 20 years of experience in finance, forestry, supply chain management, and business strategy, Elim serves on several influential boards and committees.

Recently appointed as Deputy Head of the Indonesia Chamber of Commerce for SDG and ESG (2024–2029), Elim also contributes to key advisory and executive bodies, including the ASEAN Investment Framework Advisory Committee, the APINDO SDGs Committee, the Indonesia Business Council for Sustainable Development, and the Advisory Board for the ASEAN Innovation Business Platform.

Carla Crippa

Position: Vice President of Impact and Corporate Relations

Organization: Ambev

Bio: Carla Crippa is Vice President of Corporate Relations and Impact at Ambev, and a board member of the UN Global Compact, Sindicerv, and CISA. Leading the areas of institutional relations, corporate communication, sustainability, and responsible consumption, she heads initiatives that combine purpose and performance, such as Bora, a productive inclusion program that aims to impact 5 million people by 2032, and AMA water, a social business that reinvests 100% of its profits to provide access to clean drinking water for people who still lack it.

With over 20 years of market experience, Carla believes in the power of companies to generate transformation and positive impact on society when they place people, purpose, and collaboration at the center of their decisions.

Karla Krivtzoff Laguens Censi

Position: Executive Manager of Sustainability and External Communication

Organization: Compass

Bio: Chemical Engineer graduated from Mauá School of Engineering, with a specialization in Marketing from ESPM and an MBA in Strategic and Economic Business Management from FGV. With 20 years of experience in the petrochemical industry, I have developed a solid career in strategic marketing, communication and product development with a focus on reducing environmental impact.

Currently, I am responsible for sustainability and external communication at Compass Gás e Energia, where I lead strategic initiatives in energy transition. My work focuses on promoting sustainable solutions, with an emphasis on quantifying environmental and social impacts, and building more robust and transparent reports and controls. I have training in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) from MIT and coordinate the LCA group at ABNT, the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards, reinforcing my commitment to sustainable development in all my professional activities.

Patricia Acioli

Position: Director of Communication and Sustainability

Organization: Scania Latin America

Bio: Patricia is a natural achiever and an executive passionate about writing, reading, and interpreting. With experience in new business strategies, people engagement, culture building, social impact, sustainability, and communication, she holds a degree in Journalism – with experience in print media and PR agencies, where she worked in operations management and on international projects.

Krishna Bikram Shah

Position: Executive Director, Pro Bono

Organization: Global Compact Nepal

Bio: Krishna Bikram Shah is the Executive Director Pro Bono at Global Compact Nepal, the local network of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), a voluntary non-binding United Nations pact to encourage businesses worldwide to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies, and to report on their implementation. Before joining the Global Compact in 2019, Krishna was the Executive Director Pro Bono at Hoste Hainse, a non-profit non-governmental organization (NGO) that caters to sustainable community development through education (www.hostehainse.org).

Krishna serves as an advisor to the board of GoodWeave Nepal, an organization that is dedicated to ending illegal child labour primarily in the hand-knotted rug manufacturing industry (www.goodweave.org), and also serves as an executive committee member on the board of the Nepal Carpet Association. On the academia side, Krishna is the Treasurer on the board of the US Embassy School in Kathmandu. Although his formal education is technical with a Master’s in Software Engineering, he has sustainability in his DNA with 25+ years of hands-on experience and activism.

Vinicius Ladeira

Position: Deputy Director

Organization: SEST SENAT

Bio: He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Brasília and a Bachelor's degree in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Goiás. He has a Master's degree in Public Administration from the Brazilian Institute of Teaching, Development and Research. He also holds an MBA in Business Management from the Dom Cabral Foundation, an Executive MBA in Marketing from the Higher School of Advertising and Marketing, and an MBA in Finance from the Brazilian Institute of Capital Markets. He served as the national coordinator of the Despoluir Environmental Program and is currently the National Deputy Director of SEST SENAT. In the Transportation System, he coordinates the work related to participation in COP30, contributing to the sector's agenda at the global event on climate change.

Ana Carolina Dias B. de Souza

Position: Energy Transition and Sustainable Mobility Manager

Organization: Mitsidi

Bio: A native of Pará, she is an architect with a PhD in Electrical Engineering from UFPA. Currently, she is the Energy Transition and Sustainable Mobility Manager at Mitsidi, a global climate change consulting firm focused on energy transition. Through Mitsidi's consulting work, she coordinated the Biofuels and Electricity HUB Project, an initiative of the UN Global Compact - Brazil Network, led by Scania Latin America and supported by the National Confederation of Transport (CNT). She works at the Center of Excellence in Energy Efficiency in the Amazon (CEAMAZON) and is a co-founder of the Women for Energy and Efficiency Network (WEE), in partnership with the Brazil-Germany cooperation for Sustainable Development, through GIZ.
